Founded in 2009, the SAVING AMERICA’S HORSES Coalition (ISAHC) is an international alliance of equestrian professionals, veterinarians, equine welfare experts, humane education researchers, horse advocates, scientists, film and television artists, and concerned citizens working in concert to promote humane and sustainable wild horse and burros preservation with a focus on the prevention of equine cruelty and ending the slaughter of America's horses.

The Wild For Life Foundation (WFLF) created the Saving America’s Horses Initiative under the WFLF Humanion Films label in 2009, which was initially comprised of more than fifty of the top and most influential anti-slaughter experts and professionals in the U.S.; tasked with uniting the movement, and creating educational media for achieving a federal ban of horse slaughter in the U.S., and federal protection of equines in the wild.

The Saving America’s Horses Initiative, quickly expanded into an International Coalition beginning in January 2010, when WFLF officially launched its “STAND WITH US” campaign, which was announced together with news of the worldwide premiere of its powerful documentary film, SAVING AMERICA’S HORSES A NATION BETRAYED at the Los Angeles Women's International Film Festival, where the film won Best Documentary Feature Film at its first Festival screening.

The International SAVING AMERICA’S HORSES Coalition of today is a Global initiative representing a strong alliance of likeminded professionals, organizations, groups, companies and individuals from over fifty Nations from around the world.

We are dedicated to uniting the movement, and creating educational media for achieving a federal ban of horse slaughter in the U.S., and federal protection of equines in the wild.
